Terms of Reference

1. The Nominating Committee consists of:
a. Past Chair of the Executive
b. The Secretary
c. Two members who are not on the executive and are appointed by the Chair. (Article IV;B.4) COMP Bylaws

2. The Committee shall solicit nominations for upcoming vacancies in the executive from the general membership according to the Bylaws.  (At least 50 percent of the executive shall be certified by the CCPM.) No past executive member may be re-elected to an executive position unless two years have passed.

3. The Committee is entrusted with encouraging outstanding individuals to stand for nomination.  These individuals should be of sufficient seniority to carry forward the COMP objectives.

4. The Committee shall ensure that the mail ballot is carried out as specified in the bylaws.  Nominations should be solicited in advance so that brief biographies of the candidates may be presented in the newsletter at least three months prior to the AGM.
