COMP/CCPM 2006 Oral Presentations

Please note that we are unable to receive PowerPoint files by email. Therefore, all presentations are to be sent via a 3rd party web-based application (Click here). Please include your email address.

Instructions for your Oral Presentation
|
- The regular oral sessions will run on a 10 minute cycle. Each presentation is to last no longer than 8 minutes with 2 minutes allocated for questions and change of speaker.
- The Young Investigator's Symposium will run on a 12 minute cycle. Each YIS presentation is to last no longer than 9.5 minutes with 2.5 minutes allocated for questions and change of speaker.
- A laptop computer with PowerPoint XP will be supplied for all presentations. Hook-ups for speakers' computers will not be provided.
- PowerPoint files must be named according to the Session Name and Number convention used in the AMOS Abstract Submission System with spaces removed (for example, Sci-AMFri-03, or Sci-YISFri-08). For details of your Session Name and Number, please log on to http://www.aapm.org/meetings/amos2/login.asp?meetingid=28 and select "Disposition Available".
- Please note that all presentations received proir to Monday, May 29th will be tested and confirmation sent within 24 hours. If at that time there are any apparent problems between the presentation file and PowerPoint XP all attempts will be made to resolve the technical issue.
- Prior to Monday, May 29th, talks may be submitted using the following method:

- All presentations received prior to Monday, May 29th will be tested and confirmation sent within 24 hours.
- During the conference talks may be submitted (no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time) in the speaker ready room using one of the following methods:
- CDROM: please label the media clearly with the name of the presenter and the date and time of the presentation.
- USB JumpDrive which uses a driver native to Windows XP: Please note that we cannot guarantee all models of USB JumpDrives due to proprietary driver compatibility - we encourage you to use a CD-R.
- Please try to keep presentation file size to <25MB. Use imbedded fonts and limit the resolution of imbedded images. Projector resolution is 1280x1024.
- After submitting presentations, speakers should book a 10 minute time slot in the speaker ready room to review their presentations.
- A laser pointer will be provided.

Instructions for those bringing a Poster
|
- The formal poster session and reception will take at the Bessborough Hotel on Thursday, June 1, 2006 from 18:00 to 20:30. Presenters are expected to be present during this time period.
- Posters can be set-up anytime after 08:00 on Thursday, June 1, 2006.
- All posters must occupy a maximum area of 4 feet by 4 feet.
- Pins will be supplied.
- Presenters are encouraged to display their posters for the entire meeting.
- You are responsible for removing the poster by 12:00 on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Any remaining posters will be dealt with accordingly.
